Which of the C’s did you choose?

The task includes all the 6 C’s

Creativity – They have to be creative to imagine a new classroom

Communication – They work in groups and have to discuss which ideas to go with. They communicatoe with other  contries.

Collaboration – They work together and benefit from each other.

Citizenship – it is a complex real-world problem

Character – endurance, flexibility, resistant,  ability to say yes and no

Critical thinking – They use critical thinking – how to do it, is it possible, how to make it possible

Why did you choose them? What did you want the students to develop?

We could see, that the task could include all of the C’s and felt curious about observing whether this was true. We would find out to which extend the students had worked with all the C’s  through a questionnaire.

Which activities did you select to support the development of these C’s?

The students had the create the future classroom in groups of 3-4. They had to make a model of the classroom and a PowerPoint to support their oral presentation. The PowerPoint had to be in English, so it could be sent to out partners in Romania and Norway.

How did you experience the impact of the activities on the students?

The students were very creative and liked the task, because it was something they felt they know a lot about and had a lot of ideas to develop. Some groups took the task more serious than others. In their evaluation some said that they could have used critical thinking a bit more, and have come up with better ideas. The task and the evaluation gave them new knowledge about the 6 C’s.

The students made some really nice models and were very creative. It was nice to see their hard work.
